Submitting a claim is very straightforward using the link to the WaWa Data Breach Settlement Administration website below and clicking on the orange button on the right-hand corner that says โ€œFile Claim.โ€ Claim forms that can be printed and mailed are also available on the website. ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—บ ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿต, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿญ.
The Settlement provides three alternative Tiers of relief to class members who submit a valid claim. ๐—˜๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿญ claimants (those who made a purchase at WaWa during the relevant period using a credit or debit card and spent time monitoring their accounts) will receive a $5 gift card. ๐—˜๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿฎ claimants (those who made a purchase at WaWa during the relevant period using a credit or debit card; can provide reasonable proof of an actual or attempted fraudulent charge; and spent time monitoring their accounts as a result) will receive a $15 gift card. ๐—˜๐—น๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ถ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ง๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿฏ claimants (those who made a purchase at WaWa during the relevant period using a credit or debit card and can provide reasonable documentary proof of money they lost or spent out-of-pocket reasonably attributable to an actual or fraudulent charge) can receive cash reimbursement for their loss up to $500.
Also, under the settlement, Wawa has implemented and agreed to further implement significant data security enhancements collectively valued at no less than $35 million.
