The Aggressive and Relentless Pursuit of Justice

We Don’t Just Say It, We Do It

On June 8, 2021, Beech-Nut issued a voluntary recall for one lot of Stage 1, Single Grain Rice Cereal after routine sampling by the State of Alaska found samples tested above the guidance level for naturally occurring inorganic arsenic. In addition to the recall, Beech-Nut has decided to exit the market for Beech-Nut branded Single Grain Rice Cereal.

GFM is actively litigating class action cases against several baby food manufacturers, including Hain Celestial Group (Earth’s Best), Nurture, Inc. (HappyFamily/HappyBaby), Beech-Nut Nutrition Company, Gerber, and Plum PBC, based on their manufacturing and sale of tainted baby food products, which was recently addressed in a Congressional Report after testing found high levels of arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury in certain baby food products (https://oversight.house.gov/sites/democrats.oversight.house.gov/files/2021-02-04%20ECP%20Baby%20Food%20Staff%20Report.pdf). GFM, together with Calcaterra Pollack LLP, was the first to file a class action lawsuit against Hain Celestial in the Eastern District of New York, as well as the first to file against Nurture, Inc. in the Southern District of New York, related to their sale of tainted baby food. Since then, GFM has been aggressively seeking consolidation of the numerous cases pending against each respective company, having secured consolidation of the Hain cases, moving to consolidate the Nurture cases, and seeking leadership positions in these cases. If you purchased Beech-Nut baby food, please contact GFM to discuss your legal options. We are also representing plaintiffs who purchased tainted Gerber, Happy Baby, and Plum tainted baby foods, so give us a call at (833) FIND-JUSTICE. (833) 346-3587.
